There is an intense and dramatic beauty to places like Montana and North Dakota where all of the following photos were taken. But nothing compares to the Montana's Big Sky reputation. Those great plains stretch the horizon line is indistinguishable from the sky. It was moments such as these that brought my love of this place back to life. I also toyed around with photographing the stars. Now, i realize there is a bit of trail in there but for it being my first time i'm very happy with the results. And to be fair, it was about -5 degrees F and i had no gloves or winter coat while standing in the night winds of Eastern Montana. I also tried a little day time shutter dragging, made it look like i was in a blizzard. Enjoy!
